The price of a call is CZK 15
(without VAT) for every minute or part thereof.

How it works …

There are just three simple steps:

  1. Call the received phone number, and you will be prompted to choose your language by selecting a number from 1 to 6.
  2. You will immediately be put through to an interpreter of your selected language and asked to briefly describe your situation.
  3. Activate the loudspeaker on your phone, and start your meeting – it’s really that easy!

Instant interpreting – when and where you need it

Our new community interpreting service – MyInterpreter.cz – is available to anybody in the Czech Republic who doesn’t speak Czech, and who needs instant help in dealing with public service providers.

Helpful tips for successful outcomes …


 

The interpreter, acting as communication mediator, will ensure you and the other party understand each other so that there is no confusion. To help your meeting go smoothly:

 

  • Before calling an interpreter, make sure you know how to activate the loudspeaker mode on your telephone. The loudspeaker function means that the other party can also communicate with the interpreter.
  • Briefly describe your situation to the interpreter: introduce yourself, your country of origin, where you are, what the situation is, and what you’ll be discussing.
  • Activate your phone’s loudspeaker and check the interpreter can hear you well.
  • Speak clearly and concisely, avoiding complicated phrases or sentences.
  • The interpreter can help you communicate effectively if you make frequent pauses in your conversation, and allow the interpreter to interrupt you or the other party, if necessary.
  • Respect the independence and impartiality of the interpreter; these are the ethical principles of their occupation.
  • Calls made from the O2 Czech Republic public landline network are limited to a maximum of 60 minutes. After that time, the call will end.
